Prayer is the quintessential asset of a Christian’s relationship with GOD. Prayer is a comforting and powerful act for those who love GOD. “Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” James 5:16 Prayer is a Christian’s unabated access to the Father for those who have put on Christ in baptism. GOD talks to us through His word. We talk to GOD through our prayer. An intimate relationship cultivated by the sinless blood of Christ. Prayer is a potent spiritual resource to help us navigate the world.
“Pray, then, in this way: Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” Matthew 6:9-13 Prayer helps us to focus on GOD, our brethren, and the world at large as our prayers are heard by the Father. (Ephesians 3:20) Prayer is our call to action when all else fails or maybe it should be our first action before anything else.
“When you pray, say: Father, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, For we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation.” Luke 11:2-4 This is my prayer O’Lord as I relay Your words of Psalm 51:10-13 “Create in me a clean heart, O GOD, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and sustain me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners will be converted to You.” As long as GOD’s word is in my heart and my intentions are heavenbound. My spirit will always be full of Prayers.
