No one has the power of GOD, so this question would be a rhetorical one. When it comes to Jesus Christ how is your faith? Are you a sinking Peter or can you move mountains (Matthew 14:29-30, Matthew 17:20)? Faith is the only thing that can protect a Christian from the flaming arrows of the evil one. Trials and tribulations are the things that test our faith and this is one test you cannot cheat on (Ephesians 6:16). Faith is our resolve when we as christians are faced with hardship that gives us the ability to walk on water, figuratively speaking. The reliance on Jesus Christ to carry our burdens is an epic one.
Jesus died for us to have the ability to walk on the proverbial water to never lose focus on the one who loved us first. The more we walk towards Jesus Christ on the water our faith becomes that much stronger (Luke 7:50). Our faith builds upon the word of GOD the more we study and immerse ourselves in what the Lord says our faith becomes that much unbreakable. The water is a required immersion of our belief in the one who gave us life and with the hope we have in the promises of GOD our faith flourishes (Hebrews 10:22). Can you walk on water? It’s not about your physical ability to actually do it, rather your spiritual discipline to keep your eyes on Jesus Christ.
All our lives we have tried to walk on the water without Jesus in our sights and thought that we would not drown, we were sorely mistaken (John 15:4-5). Now we must embrace Jesus fully to have that faith to walk upon the water. The water spiritually cleanses us and our walk with the Lord strengthens us spiritually as well. The goal of a christian is to walk on the water without getting wet, but is that even possible? Peter walked on the water in the midst of a storm, was he completely dry before he started to sink? Our faith is made stronger in the word of GOD and the test of life that challenges us to walk on the water (Ephesians 4:5). Christians must walk towards the one who called them out of the boat (world).
